My friend had a double mastectomy at age 24 due to cancer. Neither I nor the guy who latter married her nor their two kids thought the mastectomy had turned her into a man. Other woman have had to have their internal female organs removed due to cancer and have remained the same wives, sisters and mothers that they always were.
