Woman Hits Moose With Car After Sister Hits Moose With Car The moose of Canada are stalking and haunting Connie Evirett and Yvonne Studley, two car-driving sisters from British Columbia. Last month Studley, 49, had a car accident involving one of the beasts; the melee left her in a coma, and the moose in a moose coffin. Then, while on the way to the hospital to visit her younger sister, 51-year-old Evirett had a moose/car accident of her own.
Everitt told a reporter: "My first thought was, 'Are the moose going out [on a] hunting season for my family?'" Seems the answer to that question is pretty clear.
Update: Looks like the women's accidents happened in 2010, but some media outlets are reporting on them as though they have just happened. It's possible that Studley and Evirett were involved in a second round of moose-related car accidents that occurred one month apart. Or that they're trapped in a Groundhog Day-like time loop.

I bounced a deer off of my front bumper of (my future) wife’s car back in Texas while driving up to school on a two lane TX farm road at about 65 mph.
It twisted forward off of our car and into the other lane.
Hit a truck over there while still flying in midair.
Who bounced it back into my lane before it disappeared underneath the car behind me.
... We didn’t stop to find out if the deer was OK. 8<)

I was in Fairbanks, AK in 2007. On our way to Anchorage there was a radio report of a young woman (abt 22 IIRC) who had hit a moose. As it happened her mother was doing to pick her up and she hit another moose. Old wives tale, or just plain BS?
