Bill O'Reilly goes too far investigating his wife's policeman boyfriend?

Bill O’Reilly’s wife has moved out of their home and according to Gawker, he may even be divorced already.

O’Reilly’s wife is reportedly romantically involved with a member of the Nassau Police Department, the town in which the O’Reilly’s reside.

It’s alleged that O’Reilly used his fame and money to get the police department’s internal affairs to do an investigation into this policeman.

Gawker reports that, O’Reilly suspected his wife of having a relationship last year with a police detective in his town of Nassau and he used his influence to have the man investigated by his own police department’s internal affairs.

Accusations from Gawker suggest that O’Reilly was due to give a massive donation to the Nassau County Police Department to build a training center around the time this favor was asked and this may be the reason his request was granted.

The man being investigated was not married and if he was having a relationship with O’Reilly’s wife, this would not have been an offense as a policeman or something internal affairs would normally investigate.

Some evidence does exist that O’Reilly and his wife are separated as she moved out and has purchased her place, in which she uses as her new address for mail and voter registration.

Is it wrong to ask a PD to investigate possible misbehavior by one of its people? Or is it only wrong if O’Reilly does it?

I’m not sure about NY state but in CA, conducting an unauthorized investigation could result in a violation of various criminal statutes, especially if computer databases such as NCIC and DMV were checked on the officer-in-question, without proper authority.

A cop having an affair with a married woman? I don't believe it.

She’s 17yrs younger than he is, so I guess it doesn’t surprise me that her eye wandered.

Poor Guy, When I was cop in the ‘70’s You could get fired for farting in the Sgt.’s office for CUBO. I always asked, an Officer is designated by Congress. A cop is designated by the Mayor. How can CUBO be in effect unless he broke the law?

Loofas are hole-y gourds. It may be a religious relic to one or both of the O'Reillys, so it make take a while to know for sure.

Smart girl to finally get out. Imagine having to listen to that insufferable lamebrain every day at breakfast, lunch, and supper.

The kid is better off, too. A teenage girl, right? She must hate to bring her friends over to have her old geezer dad ogle them from top to bottom.

Wishing the best to the former Mrs. O’R!

I read that O’Reilly’s daughter, Madeline was born in 1998, and his son, Spencer, was born in 2003.

O’Reilly’s sexual harassment problems were in 2004. He was lucky Maureen didn’t leave him then.
