Moore, a 61 year-old Vietnam veteran, will kick this fall for Faulkner University, a small Christian school in Montgomery, Ala., 43 years after his initial college career was cut short by Vietnam. When he takes the field against Ave Maria on Sept. 10, Moore will be the oldest player ever to take the field for a four-year university.

Awesome!

I wonder if he kicks soccer-style or is an old-fashioned toe kicker.

Be fun to watch.

I’m 55 and I can’t imagine playing football anymore. I’ve got joint damage from playing when I was in my 20s.

I liked the question as to whether or not social security is considered by the NCAA as an improper payment to a college athlete.

I always wondered what Forrest Gump was up to since getting shot in the but-tocks.

yeah I’d be the Charlie Brown without Lucy’s help and probably brake everything from toe to ear bone if I tried my preferred soccer style forty yarder.

What a wonderful story. His life was interrupted when he was called on to serve Our country... which he did. This is sort of a way of finishing an old chapter that had to be put down. I hope he has a fabulous season!
