I’m tempted to start a pool as to when the D’s decide to run a primary challenger and abandon ship on him.

It’s the one thing you can count on Democrats for:

1. First you get the power
2. Then you get the money
3. Then you get the women (if you are one) or the men (if you are one).

Power provides a lifestyle all its own, loyalty don’t mean much, and everbody loves a winner.

Christmas vacation, Obama decides he wants to retire and spend more time with his family, and Hillary will run (and no one else - just to conserve the bucks).

If I were running a pool, I’d take Friday, December 16th.

If they wait any longer there won’t be enough time.

I’m hoping for this, because if the polls do drop, and Obama isn’t directed to resign, he will strap in and we’ll see the unvarnished saboteur of American Exceptionalism emerge. Heretofore it’s been fairly subrosa - damaging and dismantling as fast as he can while sticking to the talking points.

I don’t know that the party would tolerate it, but I think that could happen.

The Dems will never put up another candidate against Obama based on the idea that it would be seen as admitting that Obama was a mistake. Also, unless the candidate was another black leftist, they'd lose that demographic at the polls. I suspect that the closest thing to another Dem running would be if Obama pulled a Torricelli in the March or April and announced he was not seeking re-election to “spend more time with his family”.
