The Muslim call to prayer INCLUDES the profession of faith. In 1 (or 2) of the daily prayers, there are other references, depending on the time of day and tradition.

(Oh. If you recite the shahada, you are a Muslim). Then you go on to do other things, but it all starts with the profession of faith, the shahada.
