the judge decided there was no real interest in determining whether or not a crime has been committed??

WTF?

seriously... so judges that don’t like a case can now make an unsubstantiated claim and dismiss a case brought before them? this guy needs to be tossed off the bench immediately

obviously the people bringing the case cared... but I guess that no longer matters

lawlessness... pure and simple

Of course it does not matter that the people bringing the case cared. The Social Security Act contains privacy provisions that generally protect information related to Social Security numbers (and other similarly sensitive personal information). There are exceptions to these protections, and one of the exceptions allows disclosure if there is a substantial public interest (or something to that effect). If it mattered that the people bringing the case cared, then the privacy provisions would mean nothing.
