Howie Carr list ping.
My onetime experience with this place was Aug 8 of LAST year, when NYC’s Gas House Gorillas, a funtime blues/R&B/rock band played. I was there on a Sunday night and enjoyed it. Got there about 45 min before “God’s favorite R&B band”, as they call themselves, took to the stage and I said hi to the lead singer (I play their stuff on college radio).
I had steak tips which were tasty, and a nice salad, with a beer. A bit later I munched on mozzarella sticks (really should have prob had them as appetizer but whatever) and had another beer or two. I stopped drinking at a certain time so that I’d have no problems driving home. Place seemed clean to me—maybe it went to hell a bit later, when this was filmed. The band was a lot of fun, interacting with the audience and the bar staff, etc. I caught some glimpses of the TV, where Yankees were beating the Red Sox, ugh. But I had a good time and the food and beer seemed
fine.
Again maybe it went to hell later on...I’ll say this: they just got a lot of free publicity.
Well I have seen some places like the 99 and Ground Round chains where they do have a bit of a family atmosphere but the bar sections are off away a bit from the family seating areas. Is a place being schizophrenic trying to cater to both?
It was mentioned they featured local bands. Maybe mostly yes, but the band I saw was from NYC. It was their first time playing Boston area...And it was said people stopped seeing bands there because there were a bunch of kids running around.
Profits don't mean anything if they're swallowed by losses! He doesn't know where his losses are coming from!
Once again, link to preview.
“Yankees were beating the Red Sox, ugh.”
Suspect list. Yankee fan. Ugh.
Raccoon, you’re one of the beautiful people. You jet-setter!
