Question about reading FR on a Kindle. There is a lot of white space on the right when reading FR on my Kindle. Is there anyway to get rid of all the white space so the screen is filled up with text?
Racist
1) Write your post on a piece of paper.
2) Mail the piece of paper to the address at the bottom of this page.
3) Jim Rob will open your letter and using thumbtacks stick your piece of paper on a cork board in his office.
4) Anyone who wants to read your post will travel to Fresno to read it in Jim Rob's office.
5) They can then respond by writing their response on another piece of paper and tacking it up on the cork board next to yours.
6) Every time we all come to his office to read Free Republic, Jim Rob can hit us up for contributions to buy more cork boards.
That low tech enough for you?
better get a grip on your life...Jesus wasn't kidding when He founded the church, and to intentionally ignore Him seems unreasonably dangerous. To each his own, but I'd suggest getting in touch with your creator.....it can do no harm and more good than you can imagine!!!
Tech is good, but many people need to dial it back.
It's getting to be a genuine rarity to run into someone in public and make eye contact with them and smile and say "Hi." More often than not, they're plugged into their iPod or texting away as they walk and grinning like a fool at some tiny screen in front of them.
I saw one girl sitting at a bus stop look up, startled, as her bus sped past her. If she hadn't been listening to her iPod, she would have noticed it and not missed it.
I almost had an accident on an escalator the other day. The woman in front of me was moving verrrry verrry slowly up the stairs and I thought she wouldn't disembark in time and I'd end up in a horrible accident falling backwards. What was she doing? Texting.
Oh, and this is CA, where drivers aren't supposed to be on handheld cell phones but this is roundly ignored. Drive at your own risk.
Mine with 3g does this as well.... Not as good as a ipad but works very well.... 188$ version has the 3G browser. Not sure of other generations of the kindle.
Did you know you can hack these things? If you have an outdoor job and have a little time for reading at lunch you might want to look into Kindle. They depend on ambient light (since they use e-ink) and that makes them very useful outside in daylight.
I'm looking forward to the total e-ink experience where you put it up like wall paper on all your walls. Then you tune in the color and texture you want. I'm going to ask for Jurassic Park Green ~ complete with images of dinosaurs grazing on trees over in the distance.
We sighted a guy doing the hand motions characteristic of playing Angry Birds.
Demonstrating can be pretty boring ~
