a nation in which Barack Obama is president deserves to have Nagin as a municipal hurricane preparedness expert; in fact, it deserves to have Jack Kervorkian as surgeon general.

Expert on “New Orleans was a chocolate city before Katrina. It is going to be a choclate city after.”

Was he billed as an Expert on what not to do?

Funny, I always thought of him more as an evacuation expert, seeing as he did such a marvelous job with getting the city of New Orleans to head out before the hurricane, of which they had FIVE DAYS NOTICE OF ITS APPROACH, to head out and stay safe.

Hmmm. Guess I was wrong.

I thought this was weird at first. Then, I thought about our treasury secretary, and many of the other officials in this administration, and I realized, this is the new normal.

Somebody call it "unexpected," please. I need another drink.

There is something to be said for experts that have done everything wrong ... at least they can tell you what not to do

Nagin messing up the evacuation is only half the story here. CBS is further perpetuating the lie that New Orleans was devastated by the hurricane. Katrina made landfall east of New Orleans. The majority of the damage to New Orleans was a lack of preparedness for flooding which occurred in the aftermath when the dikes broke. The local Democrat-controlled dike commission had been preparing to divert funds for maintenance to the construction of a casino.

Nagin has offered New Orleans school buses to be used for evacuation of thousands from New York City due to Hurricane Irene.

The buses will be rolling north as a gigantic school bus caravan beginning in late September.

It will be a historic model for future hurricane evacuations.
