Out of respect and heartfelt admiration for the constant drumbeat of "has Palin waited too long?" trolls. I propose this of my own:
Fair and balanced. :D
/snicker
Absolutely!
Too soon after promising the state he wouldn’t.
Too soon after he finally, after 10 years, realized he needed to reign in the state budget.
Too soon after he amassed way more power in the governor’s office than ever intended by the Texas’ founders.
Too soon after just maintaining the status quo for 10 years in number of agencies and state employees.
Too soon after his new-found conversion to federalism.
Too soon. Period.
When I think of Rick Perry, I’m reminded of John McCain and I think it’s because they are both half-assed conservatives.
Their actions have proved it.
There are two important differences between Perry and McCain:
1) Women will vote for Perry.
2) Perry actually wants to win.
BobL a lib? You have to be kidding. You are kidding, aren’t you? Because if you’re not, you’ve got some splainin to do. From what I read on BobL’s home page, he is a solid conservative. Why would you try to misrepresent him like that? Is that what all Perry followers are like? Inquiring minds want to know...
“BobL a lib? You have to be kidding.”
Thanks Springfield. I’ve posted something over 10,000 posts in 7 years, 90% (at least) of which have nothing to do with Perry.
I do say a few things that might tick off some people here...such as if you want to keep Social Security and Medicare as is, you better raise taxes, huge-time, on the middle class...since we otherwise default and crash the dollar...but I wouldn’t consider that a liberal position...but that’s about as close as I get. I dare ANYONE to find me anything more liberal than that. My posts on Muzzies (particularly from several years ago)would get me thrown in jail in Europe (I’ve toned down a bit since).
The ANGER and HATE that the pro-Perry people show start making me think that they’re simply paid hacks. Most people who support a candidate, but are unpaid, are more interested in learning the FACTS about their candidate, than flailing at the people that provide them those facts. I had EXACTLY the same hatred from pro-Perry people when they were trying to defend the indefensible, the Trans-Texas Corridor - it’s too similar to be a coincidence, and back then I did find out that at least some of them were staffers (remember Perry and his people have a LOT of money to play with).
I remember that from college at ESU, where the Communists there had the same characteristics (short tempers, inability to handle criticism, etc.). We only found out after the break-up of the Soviet Union that those Communists were, indeed, paid (Venona Files) by the Soviets.
