I'd almost agree but when even many on the Left as expressing doubts about Obama, he's a goner sooner than later.

Here's the interesting part: it could be earlier than people think. If the Congressional Black Caucus turns on him, the downfall could be surprisingly quick.

It’s clear as a bell that at the very least a Double Dip is coming up and I ain’t talk’n roller coaster or Baskin Robbins!

I think that we are in for something like the collapse of Argentina ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yerKMQc7-w&feature=grec_index)but from the look of things it may even be on a global scale. Additionally I think we will see a much more violent version. As recent events show (Flash Mobs, UK riots, etc)we have a larger entitlement minded population and a the US has a much more violent and armed population than Argentina. I see many many small business wiped out by flash mob looting, and see rape, robbery and murder for murder sake. Many of these ‘yutes’ will think no more about killing you than most people think about stepping on a roach. That will be the test of many. Most preppers I know are Christian people and they will hesitate to do what they might have to do to stop the ‘yutes’. On the other hand the ‘yutes’ won’t think twice nor lose a minute of sleep, in fact they will smile and laugh about it.

For those of you who haven’t started already it’s time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, a extra couple changes of oil and filters for your car, tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.

As the LDS say “When the emergency is upon us the time for preparedness has past.”

Also, we have not raised a generation of the entitled. We are on generation 3.

I agree that unrest is sure to come with reductions in welfare, foodstamps and disability payments to the able. However, you can bet that the politicians will sell their grandchildren and mortgage the capitol buildings before they actually make these cuts. They don't have the guts.

Since they (the rioters) will only make things worse in their own communities by having rioted. Their next step will probably be out of their communities to riot.

That is what happened here. The rioters and looters that trashed our suburb did not come from here (mostly, there were a few). The ones in Clapham and Croyden were not from there. Even the scum seem to understand the concept of “Don’t Sh*t Where You Eat.”

If they try the flash mob stuff at our NYS Fair in Syracuse, they’re bat guano crazy. The Fair is crawling with NYS Troopers every year directing traffic, manning their facilities, doing demonstrations of rescues and police dog work, etc.

And they are VERY no nonsense and professional.

Yep...starting in blue states. They're already at the point of violence spilling over for any reason. For that matter, all that's really required is for a legislature to attempt to balance a state's budget and de-fang the union thuggery and violence results!

Too many people feel cheated. Too many people feel disenfranchised. Too many people think that they deserve something because they struggled through four to 12 years of college and now have massive loans to repay in the face of a contracting national economy. Too many people are looking to blame somebody...ANYBODY because they can't find a job. Too many people are simply on edge.

SP told me that hospitalizations are up over 400% from three years ago for stress and substance abuse related problems. The word in those circles is that this is a national problem. At least that's what they've been briefed. They've even gone through some special training to be a little better able to handle this category of patients.

Everybody, and everything is on edge right now. Everybody perceives that something big and bad is going to happen, but nobody can quite put words to it. :-) NOTHING would surprise me and nothing does anymore. At best, I manage to shake my head in mild shock before moving on. But I'm not surprised by anything anymore.

If I had the national podium for just a few minutes, I'd tell them all to stay peaceful at all cost. I "think" you and I and others like us comprise approximately 3% of the population. While we love peace, and we go way out of our way to avoid trouble, we're capable of killing the remaining 97% three times over. The three components required to seriously consider any potential lethal force threat are ability, desire, and capability and the only one we're lacking at this very moment is desire, and that could quickly CHANGE.

The left and the offended should be very careful in the months to come.

The riots in England were horrific to all viewing who have common sense and realize the riots are not a good sign. Have the rioters calmed down and gone back to their communities or is there unrest occurring the media is not reporting?

I don't agree. I have friends running or managing businesses in contracting, electrical, restaurants - these people are ALWAYS looking to hire competent help.

Keyword: Competent. I'm a trainer for the company I work for, and with every new batch of trainees there's at least one person at whom I'll find myself shaking my head and thinking "How did this person even get through the interview?"

(Incidentally, my employer allows people to telecommute full time, and we're hiring right now, both full and part-time positions. if anyone wants details, FReepmail me.)

My brother's company has been looking for a PHP programmer for almost 6 months now, the hiring bonus they're offering is up to $5000 after working 90 days. My brother says they get a lot of inquirees, but as soon as the applicants find out that they'll be expected to demonstrate that they know PHP by writing a simple code during the interview, suddenly they disappear. In the 6 months they've been looking, not one person has turned up for their interview.
(His employer made that a requirement after they hired 2 "programmers" who turned out to have taken their "sample programs" from the internet, and couldn't write a PHP program to save their lives.)

It seems bizarre that there's a job shortage and a worker shortage at the same time, but there is.

There are still small amounts of unrest that are not making the news at all, I assume because our Dear Leader wants it that way.
Nothing like the bad times, but much worse than it was before the riots. There are more gangs of youths on the streets during the day now too. They are more trying for intimidation than anything else, and generally succeeding.
