Geez,
My 1st trip to AK I caught a 75 pound halibut. Biggest fish I ever caught. Can’t imagine 300+lbs.

Now all you fishermen/women and hunters out there will chide me, but I would have let it go.

When asked why she goes fishing, she said "For the halibut!"

Fresh Halibut is about $26/lb here. Wonder how much is meat. Say 250 lbs. $6500 dollar fish. I must be off. 3 of those and you pay off your car. Hope Obama and the IRS don't get wind.

Wow, the biggest fish I ever caught was an 8 pound channel cat. I thought it put up a real fight too.

110 is my biggest out of Yakutat. My daughter caught a 130. Like bringing a moving refrigerator up from 150 feet down.

She’ll never enjoy fishing again. She should take up hunting next.

Nice Fish!!! Lady Bender and our grandson and his friend were talking about going out of Humboldt Bay for Halibut at lunch today. They have a big head after limiting on King Salmon yesterday. The Halibut here is just a little smaller but just as tasty. The three of them caught 6 fish for 80 to 100 pounds of Good Eats...
