I would think they feel she will only split the vote if she runs; but who knows?

If we don’t get tough on Illegal Immigration, the U.S.A. is going by way of California, Bankrupt!!!!!!

Perry is a George W. Bush Clone on Illegal Immigration, not wanting to offend the Mexican Government.

Perry has positives, no doubt, just like Bush did, but his weakness on an important issue like Illegal Immigration eliminates him from the field.

If we don’t control Illegal Immigration, in 20 years Texas will be like Miami, where if you don’t speak Spanish you don’t get a job, you are screwed.

I speak Spanish and am Bilingual and have Mexican Friends, and I know that if Illegal Immigration is not stopped in the next couple of years, you can kiss our great American Heritage Good-bye.

Perry should never get the GOP Nomination because he is weak on Illegal Immigration.

Won’t be Perry. Sorry. Bachmann can take him on. Palin will also steal his thunder when she comes in. Perry is only good for finishing off Romney.

Is Perry rated a D- or D+ on immigration matters according to Numbers USA?

You could say Perry wants to split the vote going to Bachmann.

Perry is clever. He does no work in Iowa, so he enters after the debate and the straw poll, and gets a few write in's. So the talking heads marvel, "wow, he wasn't even a candidate, yet he did well in the straw poll". When actually if he'd declared last week he would have fell flat and the heads would have said, "wow, that was a whole lot of nothin'".

Perry will fail for the same reason his favorite social conservative Giuliani did in the last race, he's too clever by half.

Bachman's been doing the work. I've heard her voice on Obamacare. I heard her voice on the debt celing. She'll get my vote to the end if she stays the course.

Perry will be POTUS

Of course he will, much to the dismay of the homosexual organization, (who support Palin), GOProud.
I'm sure pro abortion lesbian, and Palin friend/supporter, Tammy Bruce is also not thrilled at the prospect of a President Perry.
But, decent Americans are. Americans who long for a return to traditional values in this country feel as if an enormous burden has been lifted from their shoulders...now that Governor Rick Perry has declared his intent to be our next president.

I tend to agree. People want real solutions...whether that person is male or female is of little consequence. This country is straddling the abyss economically and socially.

Find me another Jeane Kirkpatrick and I’ll vote for her. Palin and Bachmann aren’t even close.

Jeane Kirkpatrick wasn’t a conservative on economic or social matters.

What an incredibly stupid thing to say. If you’re an indication of who is supporting Perry, then I’m not sure I can support him.

Rick Perry = D-
Sarah Palin = D
Michelle Bachmann = B-
Ron Paul = F
Rick Santorum = F
Herman Cain = C-

I read throught the NumbersUSA web page.

Bachmann by far looks the best right now. Palin has not commented, according to NumbersUSA, on 8 out of 12 of their questions, the highest of any candidate or potential candidate.

If Palin gets in the race, and on the 8 out 12 remaining questions they put up, she does not improve, then she can be eliminated like Perry.

This is one web page and this is what they said about Perry’s comments:

End Birthright Citizenship
Gov. Perry has made no statements regarding the ending of Birthright Citizenship.

Perry has commented on “Ending Birthright Citizenship”, and Perry said it was divisive.

So, when NumbersUsa finally gets those comments by Perry, he will have a guaranteed “F”, along with Ron Paul.

Perry is elimintated from GOP Contention because of what we know about him, and his comments, and in-state tuitions law passed and signed by him.

Palin is a question mark right now, on illegal immigration.

The only thing standing in the way of your hypothesis is 8 months of nominating process, fundraising, Palin, Romney and half a dozen other things.

Perry's stance on immigration, IMHO, is bad. He pandered to La Raza in Texas in 2010. I am sorry, but it was pathetic. La Raza, at its heart, is a racist organization that wants to destroy the Republic and split out their own country fromn it.

Saying the pledge in Spanish is a non-starter for me. Say it in English...encourage them to learn it in English. Pandiering to this desire to not assimilate into America is part of the problem.

Having said all of this...if he is the nominee I will vote for him over Obama. Obama must be defeated.

At the same time, Perry's stanc on immigration leaves a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach.

My major issues are these...LIFE, 2ND AMENDMENT, NATIONAL SECURITY (and I include our borders in that equation), ECONOMY, IMMIGRATION (mixed into SECURITY), and ENERGY (ie. we as a nation MSUT be energy independent).

Perry fails on part of the national security issue as it deals with borders, and on the immigration issue. They are critical issues. As with the others, the fate of the Republic hinges on them being handled properly.

Obama fails on ALL of them, and has stated he would, and is actively going about fundamentally changing our nation with resepect to all of them.

At this time, the candidates who hit all of them more squarely (though they too are not perfect) and who have a chance of winning the nomination are either Bachman or Palin. Either of them will get my support in the primaries over Perry for this reason.

Again, what’s the rush? Maybe we could see him in a few debates? Find out whether he can articulate the conservative message without a teleprompter? I’m sorry. I do not want a candidate who is sound bites and platitudes. I don’t want a “Package” and I don’t want someone whose intelligence will be questioned at every turn. (which is coming, and you know it) Let it play out. The election is not until NEXT Novemeber. The nominee might be right under your nose. After all, who knew who knew who Barack Obama was in August of 2007. (other than Bill Ayers, that is)

It is commonly assigned to Lincoln, but regardless, it is true.

I have some friends who are worried about voter fraud , again, this time around, and are sending out a recent blog by J. Christian Adams anatomizing the rather extensive scope of it, especially now, under Obama, since it’s directly subsidized, in effect. I was just about to respond to my friend with my thoughts on this. If my instincts are right, Obama will be beat by a credible candidate (and I include even the Rino Romney in that) by such a resounding margin that the only way voter fraud could bring him halfway-to-even would be SO blatant, SO unmanageably sloppy, SO aggressive and obvious , that it would be clear to EVERYONE. Obama is NOT popular, regardless of what the whole spectrum of polling seems to suggest. He has NO chance to win a Presidential election. The bloom has disappeared steadily off rose for a good two years now, as it started to become clear even to those who voted for him
out of a sense of “obligation” that he was first and foremost an ideologue, a would-be demagogue, and NOT EVEN a politician. He has suffered ENORMOUS losses from the constituencies who elected him, and those constituents are NOT coming back. There is nothing he can do in an attempt to engineer the economy to even give it the appearance of health-—all important negative numbers will continue to rise, while positive indicators will fall.
Voter fraud will NOT win this time, or even have much of an impact, when and where they might make it successful.
