Horsemaning Dominates as Next Level of Planking (PHOTOS)

"Horsemaning," or fake beheading, involves posing two people so that they appear to be a single body with a detached head -- and is a revival of a photography fad popular in the 1920s.

It is thought that the name comes from the Headless Horseman, an evil character from Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."

Horsemaning is currently experiencing a revival and has become a Facebook sensation like planking, owling or cone-ing. Horsemaning requires two individuals, one laying with their head back and hidden and the other exposing only their head in the picture.

If done correctly, horsemaning produces a brilliant optical illusion and allows for more creativity than other photo-posing fads like planking. Also, while planking and owling are solo games, horsemaning encourages social interaction as it requires a partner.

Take a glimpse of the horsemaning photos as given in Facebook Horsemaning community page:

ha ha... at least it’s innocent fun (unlike the Islamic version of real Horsemaning). I had read and seen some videos of owling and planking. It was really funny, however, to come upon some young people actually trying to owl when we were in Burlington, Vermont a few weeks ago.

So, is it considered necrophilia if I said “I’d hit it”
