Depends on the timeliness, accuracy, relevance, and completeness of what is posted.

Articles from 2008 which do not reflect more recent public interviews of a candidate are unlikely to have been posted in good faith, when posted by partisan advocates of another candidate.

But that would mean you couldn’t post something that Perry did as Governor in 2004, if he made some statement in the past week that was different than what happened in 2004. And while I do agree we should give more weight to more recent comments, I don’t think we should ignore previous ones, especially if the candidate doesn’t explicitly denounce their previous comments.
