Well more power to her. I trust her. And I can vote for her if she wins the primary.

and she has exellent solutions

I have to correct by saying she has excellent positions. So do all the current crop of candidates. They have not yet put out real clear solutions or plans. I hope we get to see that from various candidates.

Sigh. Closer; but still you're missing one essential thing.

It all started when the left decided to pivot on his "WMDs on Iraq" as the centerpiece of their attack on him.

There had been WMDs in Iraq -- chemical attacks on Kurds proved it.

And it is likely that Saddam sent his WMDs to Syria, or the Russians did, just before we attacked.

But we couldn't let the cat out of the bag, whether for fear of jeopardizing support in the UN Security Council, or revealing "sources and methods" -- so we had to let the attacks stand for the time being.

But Bush and Rove did worse than that: they didn't defend themselves at ALL -- which made it look like he had been caught flat-footed in an out-and-out lie: which emboldened his detractors on everything else ("blood in the water").

Together with the Plame affair, where high Administration officials KNEW the truth but wouldn't quash the story--and "Bush lied, people died" became a household word.

Together with trying to give reach-arounds to the Dems (Ted Kennedy co-writing the education bill, "No Child Left Behind", Medicare Part D) and almost never vetoing any spending bills: and passing over Jancice Rogers Brown for the Supreme Court, getting rolled on other judicial nominees such as Miguael Estrada (where the Democrats were literally ON TAPE saying, "we can't let this guy get into the Court as a Hispanic, it'd upset our race-baiting") and Bush did NOTHING...

He rolled over for Obama, much as his father had for Bill Clinton.

Screw Bush.

It's time to go for completely genuine conservatives, not connected Washington insiders / Bilderbergers / Soros Plants / whatevers.

Cheers!

It is a lie that Perry “punts” “on ANY ENFORCEMENT WHATSOEVER.”

The Governor fast tracked our voter ID bill that passed this year.

Perry is for border control:
Perry has always advocated for “boots on the ground” at the border, but has been unable to get the Feds to send the manpower. He’s advocated for letting the military practice the use of unmanned Predator aircraft along our border (they’ve gotta practice somewhere” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEHDDktDn8o )
There are National Guard troops on the Border. Perry has repeatedly asked for more and recently won approval for the 1200 (we only got about 250) that have been deployed to stay longer.
from a year ago: http://www.texastribune.org/texas-mexico-border-news/texas-mexico-border/national-guard-arrives-in-texas-aug-1/
The result of the Governor alerting the Texas Republican Congressman about Obama’s plan to remove the National Guard after less than 6 months: http://washingtonexaminer.com/local/2010/11/texas-republicans-protest-plan-move-national-guard-troops-border
News from last month about the extension: http://blog.chron.com/txpotomac/2011/06/president-obama-extends-national-guard-deployments-in-texas/

Watch and listen to Governor Perry talking with Greta van Susteren about the border. boots on the ground, and the problems with the fence. (Texas Ranger helicopters in the background.)
http://www.texastribune.org/texas-legislature/82nd-legislative-session/video-perry-tours-border-greta-van-susteren/
He sent Rangers (one riot, one Ranger), helicopters, Texas Guardsmen. He demanded and got National Guard and two unmanned drones. He got the National Guard deployment extended beyond the original 6 months.
Unfortunately, Texas only got 1/4 of the Guardsmen and 2/8 of the drones.
Texas (with our costs from the ICE detention center detainees being dumped in the State by Homeland security, support of Katrina refugees, our natural disasters like Ike, wildfires, and tornados) is expected to pay for our own Guard if we want them here after September.
Texas has spent $200 million a year on illegal aliens that the feds bring here. We’ve spent $79 million of our own funds on troops, helicopters. http://www.texastribune.org/texas-legislature/82nd-legislative-session/texas-senate-to-the-feds-pay-for-border-security/

The Legislature refused to fund his virtual border, so he used money from the Governor’s discretionary fund. The local sheriff and cities refused to cooperate. http://www.texastribune.org/texas-mexico-border-news/border-cameras/about/
Here’s an article from January of this year showing resistance from border Sheriff Wiles.

No doubt. I’ve been on defense all day. Or offense in defense of Perry as the case may be. It’s going to get ugly until the convention. We’ll all have to get a grip.

Perry is very clear on where he will go with the 40 million future Democrats and union-members:

Future dems? They have been voting for years.

I was talking about her running for VP. She didn’t quit her job while she ran for Vice President. And she didn’t tell voters in 2006 that she would run for VP if asked, and quit her job if she got elected (which obviously she would have).

And before you respond, yes I know there is a difference — Palin was never ASKED if she would run for PResident or VP when she was running for Governor, so she never said she would not do so.

But that’s just because Perry WAS asked the question, and answered it based on how he felt at the time. We don’t know how Palin would have answered it, but I’m guessing she would have said she was planning to serve her term, and she would have meant it.

As to the resignation the next year, she had reason to resign, but if someone had asked her in 2006 if she would resign in 2009 to campaign for the GOP candidates, I doubt she would have said yes. Because in 2006 she would have had no inkling of what was coming, so she would have truthfully said she didn’t plan to do so.

I guess the question is, do you think that when Perry was running for Governor, he was really planning to run for President? I happen to believe he answered the question truthfully at the time, and only later decided to run.

I also happen to think that Palin meant it when she said she was glad he changed his mind; I know others think she was being sarcastic, but that’s not how I read it. I don’t think it means she supports him, but I don’t think she was attacking him for entering the race. Again, I tend to take her at her word, she doesn’t seem as bitter and sarcastic as the average freeper.... :-)

But plenty of your follower Palin supporters are and I haven't seen you object to the lies and smears they post about Rick Perry and other candidates.

Guess what? I am responsible for me, myself and I;
and until our FReepathon reaches its goal, the vast majority of my time here, is devoted to that cause and thread.

Are we allowed to support Michele Bachmann who've I've been behind for months (not Johnny come lately) or do I get an insta ban from FR?

Sarah ain't running folks.

Romney and Perry split country club repub vote, Michele Bachmann gets the nomination hopefully Rubio or Allen West is the VP and we can send Obama packing.

If you want to say that Bachmann is more liberal than Perry or Romney please give me a good statement otherwise you are simply shilling for Sarah Palin to run for POTUS which she pretty much made clear she won't be doing.

I am a huge huge huge Sarah fan but we should all unite around Michele Bachmann and send the commie in the White house packing!

You *are* a liberal.

Palin doesn't have any policy defects on ANY major conservative issue.

Defence? Read Going Rogue: "We win, they lose." She even got a new foreign policy advisor and her new position is not Nation-Building, but go in with a defined objective, kick ass into the next continent, then get out. Check.

Oil? 'Nuff said. Check

Jobs? Eliminate regulation and taxes. Check.

Pro-life? Trig. Check.

Crossover appeal? She even has Tammy Bruce pulling for her, and her husband's a union guy. Check.

Elitist. Idaho State or something, not Harvard. And she field-dresses moose. Check.

Pro-2nd Amendment? She's shown shooting guns on Sarah Palin's Alaska and discussing with her dad how the sight was misaligned when the gun got dropped. None of this "Can I buy me a huntin' license here?" like Kerry. Check.

Pro-military in general? Track. Check.

Judges? Stated she wants Constitutionalists, not activists: and the pick she made in Alaska was *her* version of "the lesser of two evils" as she was presented with two and only two candidates, one of whom she HAD to select.

Endurance? Check.

Photogenic? Check.

Up on electronic communications? Twitter check.

Family values? Still married to the same guy, check.

Cut spending? You betcha. "Cut the crap and balance." Check.

Knows how to take on entrenched interests? Look how many people she put into jail for corruption in Alaska. And what she did to Exxon / Mobil. Check.

Youth? Check.

Populist, not a RINO, insider candidate? Check.

Persuasive ? "Death Panels" Twitter. Check.

Unafraid? Look at her in Madison with rows of protestors shouting obscenities at her. "Mr. President, game ON!" Check.

Waiting for some of the pretenders to leave the field, and for most of the public to pay attention? Check.

She's not perfect, but she's obviously the best we have.

Cheers!

I don’t know if she is running for President, but if she doesn’t, I don’t think she’s manuevering for a VP slot, I think she’s manuevering to be the kingmaker in dozens of important congressional elections, and then to continue doing what she’s been doing the last 2 years, pushing conservative causes from her pulpit of books and her job as commentator.

I could be wrong, and she did accept VP in 2008, but I can’t imagine she’s actually playing for that spot again.

I hate to tell you, son, but that means you feel she's the "lesser of the evils." Yikes.

You left out an important part of The Palin O'Reilly interview.

PALIN: Then let's keep it -- then we won't complicate it anymore. Let's keep it simple. And let's say no, if you are here illegally, and if you don't follow the steps that at some point through immigration reform we're going to be able to provide, and that is to somehow allow you to work.

"Allow you to work"?????? Sorry, this is amnesty. They will be deported only if they don't "follow the steps." It seems to contradict what she said on Greta's show. In fact it also contradicts what she said in the rest of the O'Reilly interview.

Lest you think I am pushing Perry, he has some problems too, and he needs to explain them.

She is running, I wish I could tell how I know.

Palin: “Oh, you know the process hasn’t even played itself out yet, so no on premature endorsements,” she said. “And I haven’t even decided yet if I’m going to jump in or not yet.”

Hmm. Palin says she has not yet decided; you say she has already decided, and you know she is running, but you can't tell us how you know, and that Sarah Palin is lying when she says she hasn't decided yet.

I think I choose to believe Sarah Palin. And I don't know why you insist she is lying when she says "I haven't even decided".
