Darn, I was hoping they meant Political Correctness was dead.
I hope this isn’t true. Tablets and smartphones are great, but PC’s are still better for certain things.
That’s odd. My PC is working just fine.
They called it the 5150?
That’s crazy!
Tell that to hard-core gamers and simmers.
That will never happen as long as there are libtards.
Mac lovers will rejoice.
Too bad it’s not the other kind of PC!
That’s what they said about Hitler in 1945, and look he’s been hiding in Argentina the whole time!
They said that about Elvis, too.
I seriously doubt the PC is dead. People who use their computers hours per day probably will not want to use tablets and other formats with small screens and small keyboards. It will become a smaller portion of computer sales, but many will not want to use the small, confining, midget computers no matter how powerful they become.
When an expert predicts the future, bet against it.
They know what they know, but they do not know what they do not know. I it is what they do not know that keeps their predictions from coming true.
Apple surged past Exxon in value the other day, for a moment anyhow.
The PC is dying for sure, but not dead yet. I am posting from an overheating lap top right here.
Meanwhile, the IPAD does at least as much as the PC, is more portable, and does not overheat. No viruses as yet either.
PC is gonna be dead soon, just not quite this minute.
Then what the heck am I posting on?
They can make the computer as small as they want. Just don’t take away my full-sized keyboard with real buttons.
IBM killed the PC with their first so called PC. Prior to their entry, PCs had enough IRQs to handle anything. IBM created a dumbed down standard to ensure mainframes were kept safe. We’ve been paying the price ever since.
It might be dead sales wise, but there will be us holdouts. Yeah, all these other gizmos are portable and handy and such, but they are useless to me. I’ll still have a powerful desktop and a landline phone for awhile yet. Yes, I have a smartphone, and a tablet. They aren’t my first choice at home
Hard to believe this was cutting edge stuff when I learned to repair in the Navy back in the 80’s
