I don't know if LBJ was in on the planning, but the fact that the assassin was himself assassinated within the day (clearly to shut his mouth for good) indicates a conspiracy.IIRC, Jack Ruby was dead within the year as well.

IIRC, Jack Ruby was dead within the year as well. Ruby was convicted of the '63 murder of Oswald in '64 and died of lung cancer in prison in January '67.
