There are many here on Free Republic that absolutely love our "Fru-babies". We post pics and follow each other, well I thought it would be terrific if we post the pictures of our 'babies'.
I don't know about you all but mine 'get me through' these nightmarish days. They love me no matter what. They are there and want to be with me no matter what. That includes the way I now look in the mornings! LOL!
Show YOUR babies here... :) Here are a few of mine both past and present...
Oh, absolutely! She’s a FReepathon graphic, and they always come with a link to the secure donations page! ;-)
Beautiful dog, and I just LOVE this photo, very well taken. The POV is perfect.
Yes and e one of the best tempered dogs I have ever seen. He was in the ring one time. This other dog was behind him and the owner kept letting his dog nip at Johnny(Honeypickle’s grandfather); Johnny, being the good boy he is just kept right on showing. Amazing what people will do at dog shows.
He'll try to break the world's record; remember the dog in the UK with 13? He rattled when he walked! That's what we're lookin' for.
That danged rock didn't *pass* for 2 weeks...[dear, dear Salamander kept me sane through that episode.] I kept a vigil waiting for it and am so glad he got it out, one way or another.
Well, the *devil dog* outgrew his puppy housebreaking kennel,so it has become the perfect place for us to store our shoes; the ones that are left. It's pretty sad when you are going out some place and have to look at your shoes to decide which of the *least chewed* ones you can get away with wearing in public. *SIGH*
It was a 1993 Dodge Caravan, one of the best vehicles I’ve ever driven. The squirrel not only made a mess of the driver’s side of the van, but chewed through the air safety bags; discovered that when air bag light was staying on constantly. That resulted in the van failing inspection. That and the other repairs made it too costly and had to sell the van to junk yard. The culprit was trapped and released several miles from home. Hope it is happy in the nature park.
Thank you. I got lucky.
ROTFLOL Been there.
That is one HUGE doggie! lol
Can you believe this dog was abused before we got him? He was starved, had his ears cut with scissors, and put into an open air kennel during a tornado. No telling what else. We love him so much. He is attached to my hip.
(Shhhhhhh..... I know that. That was a Thon plug!)
He sure is. You know what is odd. I can handle him better than his sisters. They are really strong.
roflmbo! Sounds like chewy bones are just not his cup of tea! LOL..my gosh they can be damaging little monsters but are worth it. Glad you pinged Sal...
Sal I hope you will post your baby or is it babies? Saw your dobie the other nite. What a beautiful animal he is.
Will do. I am more nervous than he is. All he wants to do is play golf. LOL I have never seen anyone that is constantly changing his clubs mostly re-gripping them.
What a beauty.
They are in the sporting group. They are a pointer (wire coated) from Italy. They are an ancient breed, and were originally bred as a versatile hunting dog, they will point, flush and retrieve.
They have excellent noses and are very close working (which make them unsuitable for hunting with jeeps or horses, but they are GREAT for foot hunters who just like to be out there in the field and don’t want to miss any birds).
They are good watch dogs, but terrible guard dogs because they are very non aggressive. Because of this they are excellent family dogs, however they tend to bond closely with their people. They are sensitive and harsh training methods don’t work well on them. None of the ones I ever had were extremely high energy, altho they were good working dogs.
I only bred 3 litters, so I haven’t had extensive experience. The breed is a little more popular in the US now than it was when we first got involved (in 1989), but they are still rather uncommon.
LOL...no one at this address! His monkey-shines are glossed over........*awwwwwwwwwwww he’s just a puppy*
I have a great tip for anyone with a dog who drools on hardwood floors. I recommend the *Shark* that piece of junk steam machine seen on info-mmercials...it’s not good for much else, but does a great job on wood floors, to clean the drips.
Yeah I hear it is extremely dirty and political as well. I’ll just be satisfied with my half breeds or less than perfect full breeds.
I enjoyed watching the shows though (when I had TV) but...the breeds that I rooted for never won. I like the working breed-herding specifically but love them all.
Says alot that Johnny didn’t turn around and make hamburger out of the other dog. Says alot about the handler (your grandfather?) because if the handler would have given any indication at all, most dogs pick that up and will act.
Well I ‘hear’ that the Usurper in Chief might give him some competition. :O lol
Yeah it’s funny how some of them step out of the womb saying, “Look at ME!” :) Poor Gucci had some things in her life that probably helped create her problems, but some of was also just “her”. Spinoni can be odd, and she was odd. But, she was also just completely lovable, so what the heck, we just loved her.
What breed is Keeley?
