Two F-16 fighter jets intercepted a plane flown by a 75-year-old woman when it entered restricted airspace during President Barack Obama's Chicago visit.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command confirms to The Daily Herald ( http://bit.ly/nlePww ) that the jets were summoned from Toledo, Ohio, on Wednesday afternoon. NORAD spokesman Lt. Michael Humphreys says the jets intercepted Myrtle Rose's Kitfox Model 2 and she turned around.

Police say the South Barrington woman was flying the plane by herself and wasn't aware she was in restricted airspace. They say she didn't seem shaken, but was surprised.

Wonder if there would be any political repercussions if Obama had shot down this grandmother's homebuilt while he was at his $35,000 per person birthday bash?

It is not worth one ounce of jet fuel flying a plane to do anything for the worthless t*rd in the White House.

And, it’s interesting to note that that woman pilot has demonstrated far more talent and ability than the Dung-Beetle-in-Chief him (or more properly) itself.

Sorry, the truth hurts sometimes.

NORAD has turned into the “Praetorian Guard” of the air for the “Establishment” and the “Establishment’s “Special” “Events”.

I forgot to add that those fighter pilots respect that woman far, far, FAR more than they respect the t*rd.

(Yes, I’ve been there and done that. And yes, in private, no pilot worth his/her salt thinks anything well of that “thing”)

Considering the ineptness and bias of the MSM, I am surprised that they did not report that the Piper J-3 was a little bitty airplane built by Piper Palin.

Another NORAD spokesman said there are ‘no lines drawn in the air’ when a temporary flight restriction is put in place.

The whole idea of temporary restricted airspace whenever POTUS/TOTUS travels to some city or venue is both stupid and disruptive.

Stall speed of F-16: 120 mph
Cruising speed of Kitfox 2: 85 mph
Pilot’s name Myrtle Rose: Priceless.

Okay, why no radio? I mean these days they should be plentiful and relatively inexpensive.

I get that it’s a homebuilt and flown from a grassy strip, and not having a radio out in bum puck Iowa may not be a big deal, but flying around busy airspace like Chicago without a radio?

Seems nuts to me.

Get within 30 miles in a 1,000 plane and risk getting shot down, yet he's going to go on a "Bus" tour???

What fools...

She's pretty cool-headed then. Having two fighter jets buzz you sounds like a pucker factor moment to me.

Because they aren't legally required unless you're flying into Class D or higher airspace.

She has probably flown in the same airspace hundreds of times with no problem until AF1 comes to town and puts a 100 mile diameter no fly zone over her little grass patch.

She should have checked the NOTAMS

Obama still sucks donkey d***.
