Actually might be a greater identity security issue then that. All one has to know is the algorithm they used to determine the hobbit name. Someone who knows that, can determine your real name, just from your hobbit name.

Up-thread, someone noted that the algorithm works off just your first and last initials, so it would not work backwards.
