Police had a rough night in East Liberty on Sunday.
A large mob of teens damaged several stores along Penn Avenue.
Our Channel 11 News crew was listening to the police scanner when they heard a call to 911 for hundreds of teens causing trouble in a strip mall.
Police said they went inside the McDonald's, Trader Joes, and finally ended up at the new Target.
Officials said it's fortunate that no one was hurt during the chaos.
When reporter, Dave Bondy, arrived on scene, police were everywhere. At least a dozen officers were ordering hundreds of teenagers to leave the area.

And Michelle wants corporations to build where these thugs live.
Oh Michelle there’s a reason these places are “deserts”.
“strong black leaders” gain power and wealth by FOMENTING the attitudes that lead to this behavior.
Don’t look for a solution there.
The left is very like Muslims. They are only going to respect forceful opposition.
They’ll probably go back to the revolving doors that can be lock down with a remote, sort of like an animal trap.
Once inside they can’t get out.
“Ransom them back to their parents for large fines, and let Mom and/or Dad impress upon the youth the foolishness of their actions.”
Better yet, pay to clean up the worthless punks’ messes with gramma’s welfare check. Put the worthless punks to work, doing it - at minimum wage - to pay back gramma.
I live in Pittsburgh and try to stay out of this area. These mob riots are going on all over the country and it is being under reported or not reported at all. This is NOT reported today in our two local papers. The Target they trashed is less than a month old. It was opened to great fanfare. My wife and I just laughed and knew it would be closed in a matter of months. It may last a bit longer if they open a police substation right in the Target. They have done that in other high risk shopping areas.
“What I want is the cops to beat and pepper spray hell out these youths.
Enter the race pimp, justus brothers - followed by rhe media whores.
“Grandma” is probably 30.
Right.
"Dad" is nowhere to be found.
"Mama" is too high on crack to notice.
"Meemaw" does nothing but wail and moan about how her "precious angel don' do nuttin' wrong".
Nobody will pay the ransom.
Then what? Sell them into slavery?
Aside from the basic immorality of slavery, they would probably be totally useless slaves.
“Whitey speaking out wont do any good, so its up to strong black leaders to do so.”
Don’t hold your breath on that one.
Time to start carrying.
Which is a perfect analogy for America as a whole. What would our budgets look like with out the 12% that contribute the majority of violent criminals, rapist and murderers? What would our county budgets look like without the group of which 47% are on food stamps (in Portland, OR near where I live)? How competitive would we be with places like Finland and Singapore if we didn't have to spend a disproportionate amount of time and money trying to get the school performance of the 12% to meet our standards?
How much extra weight can our society carry before it is permanantly crippled from it? I think we're there.

“A few casualties would certainly dissuade similar stunts in the future.”
Or maybe a few strategically placed fire hoses.
I’ll take “Unclear On The Concept” for $200, Alex.
Hmmm. As I recall, that particular sign was posted on a building on St. Charles Ave. in New Orleans during the aftermath of Katrina. I laughed when I saw it then too.
Don’t be overoptimistic or anything, AB.
“”Or maybe a few strategically placed fire hoses.””
The Transporter knows how to utilize a firehose properly against thugs...
