Sadly as her disease progressed she never really sang in her upper range. She did however in her first album Frank and the notes combined with her contralto voice was that much better. As good as she was as an active alcoholic and drug addict she would have been superb without. Sad.

I had never listened to her, either. I listened to this for the first time the other night. You're right - a wonderful voice.
