The Japanese need to ring up ramming speed like they did last year. Fiberglass doesn’t do well against an ice rated hull.

It looks like they are about to run over a zodiac.

The “Crew Chronicles” question is what crew member belonged to a traveling circus before becoming a SeaHippie.

The new show Hillbilly Hand Fishin'? That sounds like something else the Sea Hippies should be protesting.

The Japanese have a lot more patience than I do. I wouldn’t have thrown a bamboo rod at the idiots attacking my ship. I would have put the harpoon through the middle of the zodiac and dragged them back to Japan. Yes, I know the trip takes weeks.

If the Sea Hippies had a brain they would have some chaff smoke dispensers on the back of the barker. Then wait for the one hour of dark, pop chaff and have the two boats go in opposite directions. If they follow the wrong one you are clear.

Looks like the Sea Hippies try to run the Gojira into a ice field next week. Nothing like taking fiberglass boat into ice.

Apparently Admiral Lard butt considers his ships and crews to be expendable. What the SeaHippies need to do is stop buying short legged fiberglass toys and buy one of the whaling ships. They are fast, incredibly maneuverable and ice rated.

But a used whaler doesn’t look cool. That seems to be about half of their ship buying criteria, the other half is old, rusting and unreliable.

The Bob Barker actually was a whaling ship at one time. Ships are expensive. The whalers are subsidised by the Japanese Government and Hollyweird liberals aren't generous enough to compete with the resources necessary to buy world class ships like the whalers use.

I’m on the side of saving the whales.
Not sure that’s the same side as most people on this thread.

Actually the Barker is an ex-whaler. But too old and slow to keep up with the modern designs. Hey; how about if they buy one of those Russian nuclear ice breakers. Heck what could possibly go wrong. /sarc

I'm all for saving whales. A also live to see government subsidized operations fail. Finally I love to see SeaHippies fail badly. Thats why this show is so awesome. The whalers and the SeaHippies wipe each other out and the whales swim away. Win/Win/Win situation. It is like a bus load of ACLU lawyers crashing into a bus load of SEIU activists. There just is no down side.

There are large numbers of FReepers who support the whalers, large numbers who support the Sea Shepherd Consevation Society and those who would prefer that all of the above sink with all hands on board.

I just hate hippies.

It could stop whaling, and make a large swath of the ocean inhabitable to sea life in the porcess for a while when they get done with it.
