Five years after his wife Patsy died of ovarian cancer, John Bennett Ramsey, the father of slain Colorado child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey, has remarried.
Ramsey, 67, tied the knot with Jan Rousseaux, 53, a twice-divorced Las Vegas designer, on July 21 in Charlevoix, Mich., reports the National Enquirer.
"I have no doubt she will be smiling," Ramsey tells the Enquirer of JonBenet, who would have turned 21 on August 6...

Yes. She was murdered by person or persons unknwon.
All members of the household and all persons with access were cleared by DNA evidence.
Geraldo spent a solid year trying to lynch the father. An hour a night, five nights a week. He only stopped when defending Bill Clinton from impeachment became his sole concern.
I have always believed that J-B died accidentally, perhaps from engaging in horseplay with her brother. I remember reading about a stun gun that was found at the house. Her parents (or more specifically, her mother) panicked and tried to make it look like she was murdered.
We will NEVER know.
In any case, it was a travesty how that family was ruined. Keystone cops trying to pin it on the parents, NO MATTER WHAT. Evidence? What evidence? NONE. Ramsey's were INNOCENT period.
Cleared because there were skin cells of an unknown male on the long johns?
I agree it's additional important evidence and points to an outsider being involved but I'm not certain how that operates to clear anyone.
Suppose its the DNA of the store clerk who put the long johns in the bag when they were purchsed. Suppose she wore the long johns in the dressing room of a beuty contest and they were touched by a judge.
I'm sure there are additional details, I'm just curious as to how the presence of additional DNA automatically clears people.
No interest in the Ramseys any longer...although I certainly did find them to be odd.
Thanks, all. I always had the feeling someone in the family caused it. I don’t see how DNA evidence could possibly “clear” the family, except simply to introduce yet another suspect into the equation, and that could easily have been an accomplice used to implicate “someone else,” anyone other than the family.
The comments here only reinforce the fact that put a little time and distance between the event and it becomes even more distorted. Cleared? In a pig’s eye. You obviously didn’t follow this case very closely. One of the great travesties of justice.
The family was never cleared by the DA because of the DNA evidence that was found. When the DA made that statement she was immediately castigated (rightly so) for saying it cleared the family. The DNA, which has never given a true genetic marker because of the extremely small sample, just shows that unknown DNA was present. Many experts believe it was left by a worker at the plant where the undergarments were made.
This case is full of oddities, but none more so than the 2-1/2 page ransom note. A killer broke in, used a marker and pen from the household to write a LONG ransom note, then leaves the body in the basement? Not likely. My opinion is an accident occurred and Patsy tried to cover it up.
Beware to whomever begins to study this case! There are many rabbit trails and it can end up driving you nutty trying to piece it all together. (Case in point-—the pineapple in JonBenet’s stomach/upper digestive tract). I’ve studied it from all different angles and I always come back to the same conclusion: an accident and coverup. Patsy is gone and John will never talk. However, Burke, the older brother was there that night and may have heard something. He may talk someday.

Wow DNA from a factory where underwear is made makes it thru the washing process. Just WOW. How is ANY crime solved?

You do know that he was a person of interest in the death of Daughters friend? What about that crazy wife of his?
JB was redressed after she was put to bed (and later found dead), according to testimony/evidence from Patsy. JB was found wearing a pair of BRAND NEW panties that were much too large (the rest of the package, which allegedly was in the house, was never found.) Same goes for JB’s top being changed. Patsy maintained the clothes JB was found in were not the same clothes she put her to bed in.
Again, I don’t subscribe to the belief Patsy murdered JB, I believe whatever happened was an accident. Patsy panicked and did her best to cover it up.
