LOLOLOL! You and Twain have no way of knowing how close to the truth of my situation your story is! As a matter of fact, I once read that Twain’s (Clemons’) daughter (who lived next door to him as an adult) kept a very close eye on him because of his predilictions for very young women...There is a parallel there too, unfortunately.
I really like Twain’s short stories. I have a good friend that I went to high school and college with. After we were out in the real word and working for a few years, we would get together every so often; sitting at his kitchen table and read Twain’s short stories while drinking shots of tequila or scotch and laugh our butts off. Sounds real exciting right? But we had good laughs and a good time.
