Through a public relations company, Lockheed Martin issued the following statement:
“The U.S. Army and Lockheed Martin had a successful launch of the HALE-D aircraft from Akron, Ohio at 5:47 a.m. The aircraft ascended as planned up to 32,000 feet along the prepared flight profile. However, an anomaly prevented our ability to ascend to the target 60,000 feet. A decision was made to end the flight and make a controlled descent into a non-populated area in southwestern Pennsylvania at 8:26 a.m.”
How does an airship crash? I thought they floated.
Let me guess. The congressman from Akron has high seniority on the ways and means committee.
$150M for a balloon?!
There were numerous reports of unknown lights in the sky around Akron last night. There were several crafts traveling at an unbelievable rate of speed and one of them is said to have crashed.
Yeah,...a balloon....sure it is. And all those flights last night to and from Akron to Wright Pat were ‘just routine’ right? And the bodies that were recovered are just dummies...right?
Near Kecksburg? Hmmmmm
$150 million?
Really?
Sheesh.
They forgot to make a plan for when the sun goes behind a cloud.
Thud.
“Long Endurance” just isn’t what it used to be.
LOL — They aren’t fooling me with this UFO Coverup story....
Lockheed-Martin? Humph. Same people that can’t get the F-35 done either on time or on budget or to specifications? Same people that built the WAAAAAY over budget F-22 that we can’t afford but only a few of? Same people who built the F-22 that is now grounded because the pilots are being poisoned by something in the life support system air?
Same ones?
Maybe they aren’t a very good defense contractor or just stick to building C-130s.
Looks like their glory days of building things like SR-71, U-2 and such are behind them.
