“Why do people call the police, to only then be unhappy with the outcome?
Never, ever, ever call the police for anything whatsoever. Be as amorphous, shapeless, undefined, and vague on their radar as possible.
The police are not your friend, marriage counselor, argument referee, arbitrator, or source of safety in our society. They are dangerous by nature and as a designed result of their cop-school training. I won’t even get into the psychological aspects of their disfunction.
A good cop is a rare thing, as is a local magistrate. They do exist, but not in numbers. “
BEARS REPEATING, REPEATEDLY!
I don't care why he shot this person's dog, these same law enforcement officers have charged American citizens with murder for shooting and killing a police dog!
It is high time Americans take a zero tolerance against being shit on by law enforcement whenever they think it is convenient for them to do so!
Stand up to this nonsense!
seriously, if you’re too stupid to do anything else you can always become a cop or a TSA agent
“MOST ANIMALS DETEST AND ARE SCARED OF SOLID UNIFORMS.”
Possibly because their ancestors have an instinctive fear of potential predators—who often have solid color coats.
Being an animal, it operates on instinct, not logic.
Being an animal, it is also incredibly bribe-able and will be eternally devoted to anyone carrying a few Milk-Bones around (or at least, eternally devoted so long as no one else has something better. :-) )
2nd all of that.
There are very few situations that can’t be made worse by the addition of a cop.
I wish someone could find some studies on the psychological make-up of the average cop. I think it would make for very interesting reading.
I don't like them as a group nor do I have any faith in their integrity. It would take a very unusual situation for me to ever call them to my house.

"...then call the cops to bring out the body bags..."
I would think your first option would be to sit tight and see if your neighbors noticed or called 911. If that doesn't seem to be the case, if the crims parked their car nearby, have some plastic sheeting, duct tape and a couple road flares handy, put them in the trunk drive to somewhere isolated and add the lit flares to the trunk and hike through the woods home.
If you don't know them then there is no way the State can pin you on the disposal unless you are stupid enough to confess or take your cell phone with you to the dumpsite. Cops are stupid and lazy with fewer than one in seven homicides ending in a conviction.
Otherwise, calling the Law yourself will just put in you in prison for multiple homicide or empty your retirement funds to Perry Mason your way out of it. In either case you will be forced to move far away pronto because of the crim's family retaliation and the fact your co-workers will feel creeped out working with you and the neighbor kids will keep shouting "murderer" when they see you.
America doesn't have a justice system, we have a legal system and the current legal system is the patriotic American's enemy. If the perps are one skin color and you are another, the Prosecutor is eyeing your incarceration as a rung on his/her political ladder.
If all that sounds too scary and wacked out, then when the crims come through the front door, you and your family go out the back and let the crims have their way. Nothing in your house is worth the legal costs and hassle, and if you did have valuables laying around - why don't you have them in a vault?
The state has become your clergy, mentor, and paid guide in the race for abandoning individual liberty in favor of free food, housing, medical care, and child rearing.
A police car in your driveway used to be an event of embarassment and shame to your family and neighbors. Now it's just a welfare check on grandpa who you're too busy to deal with, or some school trouble your kids cultivated, or because your rent is three months late.
Sorry about the double post. I’m having occasional problems with this so-called high-speed internet connection.
Sorry for the double post. I’m going to put the blame on the computer for this one.
I really think there is little room for really smart cops. I mean who would want to be one anyhoo? Community based policing ended long ago along with the callbox and beat to walk.
A friend of mine had an Australian Shepard that would act aggressively toward most people, including me(even though it knew me)when they would first drive up. I discovered he liked cookies, of any kind, and I would take some with me when I went. Throw a cookie out of the car window and get out without an worries, give him another one when I left and he would escort me to the car wagging his tail. After a few "cookie" visits he would stop charging my car when I drove up and he would wait patiently until I gave him his cookie. Dogs are indeed bribe-able.
Thankfully the police shooting dogs is a rare occurrence and we’ll probably never hear about it happening again.
Once again, as in TOO MANY CASES, the Blue Wall of Silence closes around the truth.
In a effort to control incidents like this we need:
1) A residency requirement. If a jurisdiction isn’t suitable for some cop to make his home, then its not suitable for him to work there either.
2) Civilian review boards. Cops who shoot should need to explain themselves, but not before a judge, as the burden of proof is too much weighted in the cops favor. After all, just like a judge or attorney, a cop is an officer of the court. They should have to explain themselves to a “jury” of their employers, i.e. citizens of the jurisdiction in which they work. And if that jury doesn’t buy their story, as it would be unlikely to do here, he or she can look for a job elsewhere.
This family will be traumatized forever by the actions of this rogue cop, his arrogant colleagues, and the complicity of the court which covered for him.

I learned an awful lot from the experiences of him, the inmates I got to know and know of(we lived on a farm next to the prison), the powers of the state, the stupidity of the state, and the skewed sense of right and wrong which can easily and rapidly take over any group of people under certain conditions.
Every person should be required to do the following before they can be employed in any position of authority.
Wash Dishes in a restaraunt while in high school.
Work as a laborer for a general contractor during summers while in high school.
Tend bar or wait on tables for at least one year.
Join the military and get shot at and return fire. Do so for at least four years.
Become a volunteer fireman or EMT in your local community.
Prove you can maintain a relationship with a spouse before you can break down someone elses door because their wife is irritable and likes to use her cell phone a lot.
Raise your own damn kids to adulthood without incident.
At this stage you'll be 50 years old and will have made you wise enough to be a police officer in this country.
