Obama fined during London visit

LONDON: US President Barack Obama was fined £120 for not paying the London congestion charge during his state visit to Britain. London mayor, Boris Johnson wanted the £10 congestion fee to be paid for the Presidents armor plated limo "The Beast" and all other cars during his visit in May.

Johnson is understood to have raised the issue with Obama at a Buckingham Palace

When asked for comment, Obama said; “I’ll let my grandkids pay it.”

If he runs for Prime Minister, he’ll pay up. There was a local news story in Boston about an obscure Illinois politician making a visit to Cambridge in 2006 to pay some parking fines going back to the 1980s. Imagine that. Probably because while he was speaking at the 2006 Democratic National Convention in Boston, someone at FoxNews might have impolitely pointed out that he had outstanding arrest warrants in Massachusetts.

You know. We all can’t stand Obama but this story is BS. I can’t believe that they would be all over our President over 10 pounds. Big deal. If this story had been about President Bush a short 3 years ago the comments would be one of disgust that they are even making a mockery of this story. We should treat this story as much ado about nothing.

This, and support for the South Sudan, are about the only things I can think of where I’m on the Oval Office occupant’s side. State visit. Diplomats don’t pay parking fees and charges like this, why should the (alleged) President?
