And we have people on this very thread supporting it. So, it joins the federalized education system (not allowed by the USC as you and I know) as one of the biggest brainwashing schemes — also ever.
It just occurred to me that the Civil War wasn’t so awful for the loss of life: it was the fear of asserting States’ Rights for many generations. And every time the Feds used a fig leaf to create a new Federal imperative, we as citizens, and our States, lost many rights.

Socialized schooling was started before the War Between the States. The federal government is a new comer to socialized schooling. Cities and States started socializing the school industry around 1850.
