I remember that issue! LOL!
Looks like Jessica alba.
Dean and Andress (with short hair).
Better with long hair.
I actually Google-imaged the pix to test my memory.
I was wrong and misremembered them. The pix with Ursula Andress actually looked like he was enjoying himself. In the ones with TERRY MOORE however, he looks pissed off, uncomfortable, and glowering, as if to say “How did I wind up with this Little Miss Sunshine???”
Check them out, they are funny. He looks awful in every one, while she looks like she’s having the time of her life. I don’t know how to post pix, maybe you can. The event in question was the premiere of the original SABRINA.
DEAN and TERRY MOORE...uncomfortable, and glowering,
as if to say How did I wind up with Little Miss Sunshine???
Power / Christian wedding.
Dress designed by Fontana who also designed Margaret Truman's wedding dress. Fontana created fantasy dresses, wedding gowns, ball gowns, and possessed an aura of glamor. In the 1950s, in particular, the Fontana style was a rich excess and ideal of the sumptuous dress. For the client, these were the most flattering kinds of party dresses cognizant of the New Look, buoyant in full skirts, and attentive to the bust.
Theatrical high-style 1950s style was crystallized in the internationally known clientéle including Linda Christian (wedding dress to marry Tyrone Power), Audrey Hepburn, and preeminently Ava Gardner. Gardner wore Fontana for film roles in The Barefoot Contessa (1954), The Sun Also Rises (1957), and On the Beach (1959).
Christians' next husband was Edmund Purdom.
Famous pic of Linda Christian January 1, 1949 issue of Vogue.
Wow, classy and breathtaking.
Thanks for the post.
Yep, that's Jessica Alba doing her best "Honey Roper."
The navel piercing is a historical give away somewhat along the lines of Hrundi V. Bakshi's take-ruining wristwatch.
Mr. niteowl77
Definitely falls into the 'Holy crap look at her!' category.
VAVOOM! as they used to say.
Linda's then-husband Ty Power made a surprise visit to the set. But Linda and Edmund were nowhere to be found.
Debbie says she found them when she spotted some bushes jiggling...and was able to warn Linda that she had a visitor.
Ty died not long after on a movie set.......
Linda later had a brief marriage to Edmund.
Dean was homosexual or at best bisexual in his makeup so uneasy is no surprise.
This is Ursula Andress.
Damn google, I'm suing the ba$tards..:=)
I knew he was “bi”-—but I had the facts wrong-—the pix
I remembered were him with starlet Terry Moore—obviously
a studio- arranged date. Pix with Ursula Andress he looked like
he was having a great time. (Maybe she too was bisexual and they hit it off?) Go back to the thread to see the reply by Liz who posted the James Dean/Terry Moore pictures or google it on images to see the bunch—they’re very funny.
