They are affiliated with the Republican party and are socially conservative and economically liberal. The party leader is an Ayn Rand fan - which I personally think is a shame. Rand was nuts.

Eurotwit, you realize you proved cripplecreek's point, right? "Socially conservative and economically liberal" is what, at best, in America is called a RINO, and the bane of American conservatives as they are nothing other than undercover socialists. That's what cripplecreek was pointing out, and this difference is EXTREMELY important as the MSM starts blatting about the word "conservative" in the American press without acknowledging this difference.
Europe doesn't have true conservatives, because Europe has no natural rights to conserve. NO european government is based on the sovereignty of the people over the government. NO european people are even raised with this concept, and those who know about it mostly consider it an esoteric fantasy, rather than the root of true freedom.
And as for the "leader" of a "republican" party that is "economically liberal" being an "Ayn Rand fan," such a comparison IS nuts. You've obviously never even read her works, or you'd be too embarrassed to make such an absurd equivalency.
Judging from their Wiki page, they do not technically “affiliate” with foreign political parties.
It calls itself “libertarian” which is a huge red flag for me.
Still no real evidence the killer had those views yet, that facebook page looks like it was too recently created to me.
