Probably best known for his role as "Cheyenne", Walker was a handsome, quiet and honorable man. In most of his interviews, he is quick to praise his co-stars and praise them for his performances being good. Walker still receives film offers but has not found one that fits his standards. He said, "There is a lot of stuff now that is in bad taste, and I don't see the necessity for it all. We didn't have to do it in our time, and they don't have to do it now."

I’m a Westerns freak myself, but had to give up on the Westerns Channel. Too much same-ol’, same-ol’. After some years it was like reruns of reruns.

Walker was a beast in his prime. About as impressive a physical specimen as you’ll find. Made Jim Brown look like a play toy in The Dirty Dozen.
Didn’t realize he was so upright, but I can’t say I’m surprised.
Hollywood isn’t even a shell of its former self.
Met Walker at a show a few years back. Seemed like a really, really nice guy. With a warm, low-key manner, just like in “Cheyenne.”
That was Fess Parker. I always thought they were the same guy.
When I read the name, I couldn’t place him, so I went to his website. NOW I remember him; what a looker he was!
I too am a western fan. I have been watching the hell out of the western channel lately. Really like the western TV programs, “have gun...” and lawman are just awesome. Love those 70’s /late 60’s westerns with guys like Lee Van Cleef and Warren Oates too.
Somebody should should start a western ping list, I would join! Knowing FR there probably already is one somewhere.

Me too, I enjoy Wagon Train & the Virginian.
Speaking of Warren Oates, have you ever seen “Ride the High Country? (movie)
CLASS SHOWS! This guy exudes culture and decency. Most would grab anything put in front of them.

Hell of a nice guy. I’ve heard him call into the Rush Limbaugh show twice. He’s a ditto head.
Its been years since I saw that one. Peckinpah and Oates must have been pretty tight, Oates is in a bunch of his movies. Another good one is “barquerro” with Lee Van Cleef as a tough barge man and Warren Oates as the bad guy trying to get across the river with stolen gold before the army comes.

Thanks for the pic Donald!
In those interviews Clint talks about the accident where a ski pole went through his heart. He said he was pronounced dead, but a specialist that was visiting happened to see him and asked what had happened to him. He then discovered that Clint was still alive. Such an interesting man and truly a blessed one I think.
Clint Walker, James Arness, and Chuck Connors are some of my all time favorites.
You are right. Clint has giant hands. Looks like he could palm a bowling ball.
They dont make them like him anymore. Now most of the male stars are girly.
Clint Walker could kick any ones of their behinds without working up a sweat.
