What about all those a-hole drivers who cut off bicyclists or who open doors directly in their paths? Happens all the time to me here in New York City.
I’ve seen the door thing happen, not nice. I’ve never had that experience- if I scoot faster than traffic, I do it on the outside or middle lane to avoid that. It’s hard for people parking to see me if I come up at 30 mph just to the right of traffic, so I don’t do it.

If bicyclists obeyed traffic laws you wouldn’t generate the contempt ,,, stop splitting lanes , passing cars waiting at lights and running lights and stop signs... You want respect ? It’s time for you to earn some.
