I saw him pitch when he was with the Angels. I’ll never forget the hiss of the ball before it popped the catcher’s glove. Here’s hoping the Ryan Express is up and running again.
It's not your fault....FR continues to be "broken"; slower than all getout.
As a native Houstonian who watched Nolan pitch as an Astro - seeing him called “Texas Rangers” Nolan Ryan really sticks in my craw.
God speed for a quick recovery!

Understand. But don’t you still get a kick when you watch the video of Ryan putting Robin Ventura in a headlock as he proceeds to explain “here’s how the game is played”?
Get Well, Nolan. Take a couple of Advil.
Well, yeah, but that’s the good ol’ Alvin boy just kicking a little booty.
Prayers up for a speedy recovery.
First major league game I ever saw in person was a Nolan Ryan no-hitter. He will always be a special guy in my book thanks to that treat.
PS My mom was with us. The very next game she went to, a few years later, had a triple play in the game.
That must have been very exciting! I am glad you were able to see those games with your Mom.
