Ya’ know, I haven’t ever noticed the smell. We’re in east central Alabama and have a lot of poison ivy. We keep Tecnu stocked in the medicine cabinet year-round. We come in from our woods, clothes go immediately into the hot water wash and we use the Tecnu on hands, arms, ankles and feet. Then, clean wash cloth and wash face and neck.

It is the only thing that has worked for us.

I’d gladly take a bath in tecnu, smell regardless, if I could live in Alabama. The itch to get out of the Lib-nazi controlled northeast is far worse than any caused by poison ivy.

Sounds like it works for you. But I was told as a boy to wash off poison ivy with COLD water and soap. Ever since, it has always worked just fine.

Hot water opens the pores, and lets the poison into your skin. Cold water is much better.
