There have been increased sightings of pumas in the west metro green belts off the foothills the last few years. Why not? Can’t shoot them and poodles are easy to catch. So are little kids...
It is too dangerous to leave windows open on the ground floor anymore.
So people have buy and install air conditioning units $$$, then run them $$$, or live in a hot house with the windows closed.

Since the 1880’s, sheep herders and cowboys would take care of any predator attacking their animals.
I bet these types of stories will increase as the predator population increases.

Similar story in Salida recently...the mtn. lion entered thru a doggie door in the middle of the day with mom and some kids in the house.

Much easier when the nice Open Space Parks member of the Armed & Rangerous makes people NOT exercise their Open Carry rights which Colorado has had on its law books since it began.
