LEADVILLE, Colo. -- A black bear went into a tent in a central-Colorado campground and bit or scratched a sleeping teenage boy's arm.
State wildlife officials say the boy was camping out with his family in the mountains near Leadville when the bear grabbed him early Friday. Colorado Division of Wildlife spokesman Randy Hampton tells KMGH-TV the boy needed medical care, but his wounds didn't appear to be life-threatening.

“What was stashed in their tent?”
Or what did the boy get on his arm during dinner. Always wash up and change clothes before bed if you spill food on yourself when in bear county.

Too bad no one in the camp had a gun and was fast enough. Could have saved a lot of trouble.

There were about 1,000 people during the attack around 4 a.m. in the Quail Mountain Recreation Area, which is private property in the Twin Lakes area.
Rather brazen to go into such a crowded campground

That bear needs put down. Most bears I have encountered are shy. The couple who weren’t were being fed...

Rather brazen to go into such a crowded campgroundYep. Probably a first-year male.
Surprised it wasn't dispatched on the spot during the attack. Though it was a bow jamboree, there must have been a few guns there.

Some bears do kill and eat humans.
Sounds like this bear was one of those
