Police arrested a Florida man Tuesday after he injured three officers during a scuffle.
Police say about mid-afternoon, they got a call about a man lying in a creek in the 100 block of Richmond Road. Once there, they found 28-year-old Ihab El Mahmoud of Orlando, Florida lying unresponsive in the creek bed.
As the officers approached Mahmoud to see if he was OK, he became violent and began fighting with officers.
Three of the officers sustained minor injuries. Mahmoud also suffered minor injuries, but refused treatment. He was taken to the Bi-State Justice Center on three charges of assault on a public servant.
I guess he got responsive.
“Ihab El Mahmoud “
Ah yes, that Ihab of the Mahmouds from Boston.
Yes.. such long standing all American names ...
*cough*
I can’t keep that up.
Aquamuzz
The proper resonse to finding a Muzzie in a creek is to just add water.
What? They forgot how to use their tasers? Lost their weapons? This guy was six foot eight and weighed 400 lbs? Looks like some LE re-training is in order.
I agree.
Okay, look, I can relate to wanting to get the hell out of Orlando right now...but you can’t get in fights with Texas cops.
let the alligators get him......
oops, this was in Texas....forget those alligators.
Right the first time, Texas does have alligators.
I think the alligators are rare in Texarkana.
Was his real name different when he was last in prison?
Texarkana? Crikey!
I heard they there were some in Lake Ray Roberts but that
was the extreme north of their range.
Sure hope they don’t migrate up here to WA!!
Also LARGE quantities of LYE soap! :-}
sounds like someone high on bath salts.
Heard there were a few in Lake Wright Patman. Plenty in Caddo.
“As the officers approached Mahmoud to see if he was OK, he became violent and began fighting with officers.”
Bad police procedure or bad reporting ?
If he was happy lying in a creek, they should have just left him.
He was actually asleep and became problematic, when they woke him up.
