We had a couple of weeks without significant rain and some hot temps - the garden has dried out very nicely and things are starting to green up and grow again. Corn and melons/cukes/squash growing like crazy, lots of little squashes on the vines. Got the herb garden completely planted and lots of weeding done.

Am finally 'over the hump' as I call it, got everything planted and the weeding under control. Starting the fall garden now, planting some grains, dry beans, and root crops next week. This until the snow flies is my favorite time of the year.

Pics!

Purple coneflowers in bloom. One of my favorites.

Black Hungarian pepper. Slightly hot and nice flavor. Good for drying and frying.

Albino Bullnose pepper. Small sweet pepper.

Rye ready for harvest.

Great Pictures. Do you use the rye grain or just plow it under?
