I've been in debate on a local forum and not even the conservative at heart posters there have a clue what is happening.
"Conspiracy" was attacked and demonized as a valid concept a long time ago. Many people now won't believe that conspiracies actually do exist, or, according to Hilary they are a right wing thing.
One of the main weapons of the left is ridicule, as we've seen demonstrated in their attacks on the Tea Party Movement. I know you remember the term "conspiracy nut" as well. Now people keep their mouths shut rather than risk ridicule, and the left chips away at our Nation's foundation with impunity.

The family was able to chip away at the mortgage, save ,put the kids through school and be at peace with their ability to do it on their own. They voted democrat because they believed it was the party that best represented their values. Their representatives were just like them and they felt a bond. Now the party has been hijacked by the extremists. Socialism, expanded government and interference. No more guns, personal responsibility,common sense. A value system that is corrupt. A party that will stop at nothing and use any tactic necessary to win...Dems sure aren't what they used to be... they've become the party of liars and fakes... the party of dirty tricksters who rationalize by saying 'everyone does it'. They don't. It's sad, isn't it?

Kinda like the term "militia". Yes there are some nutjob militia members around but the same could be said of doctors, truck drivers, or factory workers.

People are trained from early on to care too much about what other people think of them, it is a very effective method to control and censor.
