Great video! Superb pilot too - not sure I would put a nearly 60-year-old bird through that much stress, but he must know what he’s doing..
I imagine they get complaints in that particular little town...*smiles*
Very enjoyable. Thanks. Must have been some crosswind on the runway, both the DeHavilland and the DC-3 were crabbing to keep centered on the runway as they made their passes. The 747 was majestic! How exciting to see that big mutha roll left and rotate to climb out and make its departure. Like watching the C-5As do touch-and-goes at Dover AFB.
I love me some Goonie Bird. The wife just saw the video about starting one and wanted to know why I was so stupid to ever get in one. Those were the days, my friends.
nice, sounds like you are there too...
HEADS UP........SPEED CHANNEL HAS “SEAT SWAP”...show about Steward and Hamilton’s switch coming on at 6:00 est.
thx...
thx, i watched it online when it quit about 30seconds into it, then came back no interruptions i was soooooooooo piss3d off LH only did TWO friggin laps and not the four advertised... if he loved it so he shoulda stayed out there lil longer
that aside, Tony really threw Smoke down on his azz
D.C. was tooling around in a brown C6-Vette"or some such" checking out the track conditions after the jet dryer and tire towing dryer trucks had been out there for a couple laps and he got real squirrely out of the last corner
interesting...hope they do it twice a year (Mobile One)
There were pilots who soloed in those things after only 6-10 hours in T-6 Harvards. Amazing.
Thanks
I thought I’d post some photo’s I received in an email recently for those who like older aircraft......hope this works..
