PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Former Rhode Island Rep. Patrick Kennedy and his fiancee plan to be married this week at a private wedding ceremony at the Kennedy family’s Cape Cod compound.
The 43-year-old Kennedy will wed New Jersey school teacher Amy Petitgout on Friday at what Kennedy’s spokeswoman says will be a small, intimate event.
Kennedy is the son of the late Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy. He represented Rhode Island’s 1st Congressional District as a Democrat for 16 years. Since leaving Congress in January Kennedy has been named a visiting fellow at Brown University and has campaigned to improve brain research.
The wedding, which will be closed to the press, is scheduled for the Kennedy compound in Hyannis, Mass. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer is set to officiate.

Do any of the Kennedy’s ever get a real job and work. Here we have Patch’s who sucked on the Govt. teat for 16 years most of that time under the influence of one drug or another and they make him a fellow at Brown University.

I wonder if there’s a good view of the Vineyard from the compound (probably is). We all know about the situation his dad faced at a certain spot on the Vineyard. And a little over 10 yrs ago his cousin JFK Jr was en route to Rory Kennedy’s wedding at the compound (IIRC) and the plane crashed killing JFK Jr, his wife, and sister in law. Plane crashed off the Vineyard.

I’m not all that familiar with this particular kennedy. Is he more into the drug addict part of the clan, or is he just the traditional Kennedy drunkard type?
