The woman, known only as juror number 12 left her job and went into hiding fearing co-workers would 'want her head on a platter'.
Her husband said before leaving she told him: 'Id rather go to jail than sit on a jury like this again.'
He told NBC News he was worried for her health and had his bags packed ready to leave if his 60-year-old wife's name gets released.
The woman, who moved to Florida from Michigan fled the area, retiring from her job working at Publix Grocery over the phone because she didn't feel safe.

Attacking the Jury is unacceptable. Casey is disgusting. Citizens who join Mobs are worse. They Jury followed the Law. If the Citizens do not like the Law change the Law. The State bungled the case. The Law is not there to get justice for Caylee Anthony. It is there to protect the citizens from a tyrannical government and Mob Rule.
Whereinhell is this “mob” you keep talking about? This isn’t any mob. Get a handle on yourself.
I’m sorry, I understand a defendant’s right not to incriminate themselves and their lack of burden to present a defense, but when the defense makes an opening statement that says the child died a certain way and the grandfather had some culpability in the way the body was disposed of, the defense should be required to offer proof of those claims. The defense in this case did not, which is why the judge did not allow those claims to be repeated in the closing statement. That should have been a mistrial, because no amount of jury instructions can remove the taint of those wild accusations from their minds.
I was thinking the same thing.
I did not watch the trial but was there any evidence that she harmed her child other than her attitude and behavior after her daughter disappeared.
In my heart I feel she is responsible for that child’s death.
Kind of ironic. She seems to think there is more evidence that her co-workers are capable of murder than Casey...
TX. I see some others agree with us. Looks bad for the future though considering how small of a minority we are. Who will want to serve on a jury after this? Much less find a Defendant Not Guilty. My hope is that some of the Mob members have to face a wrongful charge one day. Then they will learn the hard way.
Did I attack the jury? I think they are nimwits that discussed profit before deciding the case.
From PUBLIX??????......................(that's a grocery store chain, in case you didn't know).................
Ok ...how did Caylee die and how did she get in the garbage bag in a swamp?
‘If the jury was wrong, those who saw all the evidence and disagreed had a right to insult the jury.”
What evidence? The only real evidence presented was that the little girl died. Were you in the courtroom? Did you see anything except what was on TV?
As for OJ type hyperbole. When are you folks gonna start rioting like happened after Rodney King. I mean if you really cared about Justice you’d be out there in the streets.
My opinion is correct because its the jury’s opinion. For better or worse that is how our system works. They declared her not guilty. Move on or forget any notion about the rule of law.
Good post. Isn’t that true. Irony.
When one of the jurors said that the prosecution couldn't even say for certain how the child was killed...
well, there is a serious problem for the prosecution's case.
I don’t care if it’s wrong but reading this put smile on my face :)
BWAHHAAHAAAA You’re funny
That makes us part of the “FR mob”.
I’ve been on juries before and would willingly serve again.
“The media keep pumping this like there is no end, and there’s plenty more they can be reporting on.”
No foolin’! Keeps Fast and Furious and Gunrunner out of the news.
I think you live in fantasy land
Her Mother killed her and threw her in the Swamp. Maybe. Maybe is not good enough. I do not really care. Ashtons case sucked. I saw it. All of it. It sucked. It was bungled. The Jury did what they were supposed to do under the Law. The Legal System is not there for Justice to be done. It is to protect us from Tyranny. Leave the Jury alone.
I lmao at the johnny come lately’s on the case that act sanctimonious and then revel in calling people who disagree with the verdict a mob. Seriously. I would love to serve on a jury, but I take that responsibility above profit.
