The woman, known only as juror number 12 left her job and went into hiding fearing co-workers would 'want her head on a platter'.
Her husband said before leaving she told him: 'I’d rather go to jail than sit on a jury like this again.'
He told NBC News he was worried for her health and had his bags packed ready to leave if his 60-year-old wife's name gets released.
The woman, who moved to Florida from Michigan fled the area, retiring from her job working at Publix Grocery over the phone because she didn't feel safe.

Those of us against Roe vs. Wade have gone to D.C. for years and stood outside the Supreme Court in the freezing cold weather.
We do have the right to speak in opposition to jury verdicts or court rulings.
BTW....there’s no reason for anybody to duct tape a child face under any circumstances...unless there is foul play.

I agree. A couple of people on this thread today are ticked off because we think Casey should have been convicted.
They've been insulting people who are simply expressing their opinion.

I see this threads gone down the tube....not surprising though...the same ‘players’ hit every thread about this case so they can hear themselves gloat about how intellectually sound their take is on this trial...and what dimwits every body else is that disagrees.
They sound like obamas speeches.....rambling on and on and saying the same o’ same o’. Using Constitutional verbage and such just to appear as if they know what they’re talking about. Tactics I’ve seen time and again...just children’s power plays...like school yard bullies...alot of hotair with nothing to bring any light to this case.

I was absolutely dreading being a juror when I was picked to sit on a murder case. Thankfully my fears where misplaced. The case was in Maryland and while not a DP case the defendant did face life in prison.
The defense wanted me on the jury most likely thinking I could possibly be swayed as I was in my early twenties, in college and had virtually no experience with crime or the courts. Thankfully the other jurors were diligent, paid attention to the deliberations, followed the judges orders and listened to both sides arguments. When the time came to deliberate we took a test vote, 10 for guilt 2 against. At that point our foreman had the panel go through the evidence and we argued it out. Even before closing arguments I was sure of guilt, the evidence was overwhelming, I was a bit shocked 2 people would see it differently.
Only a few hours later we had an unanimous verdict, guilty of 1st degree murder and lesser charges.
Two years ago I was again picked for jury duty in Miami. A civil case involving a car accident. In that case I was voted in as the foreman. During deliberations one of the jurors wanted to know why there was no DNA that we could watch and see what had happened. She believed DNA was like a DVD that could be put into a player to watch. Unbelievable.
Your friends feelings are completely understandable. I would also rather eat glass then go on to another jury. Or as I say, I’d rather scrub a man’s prison with my own toothbrush then do it again. If I’m called I will go but I’ll dread every minute.

Either we respect and live by the Constitution or we don’t. I assumed that conservatives would come down on the side of the Constitution.
Actually you are incorrect. You have been doing more than expressing opinion. You have been attacking the juror and the jury system.
It is a ‘Rat tactic. I think they’ve tipped their hand on this one.

For the past six months or so there have been numerous threads and posts where so called conservatives have called for the elimination of the rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights.
Police brutality is ok as long as the one being brutalized is a ‘leftest’.
Throw out the jury system because the verdict did not meet their desire to see a certain outcome.
Raise the taxes on ‘those’ people, but not me.
Take the rights from ‘those’ people because they play for the other team.
They don’t pray to my flavor of God so they are to be punished.
And we wonder why this country is in the miserable shape it is in.

I have not called anyone a name, although people in the opposition have been calling people buffoons.
I have never attacked the jury system, and it would be bizarre for anyone to think that.
I do criticize the verdict, as I criticize OBAMACARE.
It’s a free country. Free speech exists.
This verdict is a travesty.
It’s very dismaying to watch the mob mentality. I’ve watched posters who have railed against judging other’s on religion or morals go ballistic wanting vengeance in this case. I don’t suppose I’ll take them too seriously in the future. I wish I saw more of the attitude of hoping that Casey finds Jesus and repents and turns her life around.
Dennis is the best! He always says exactly the right thing.
