A 25-year-old man is without his car today after it was stolen by a suspect wielding a hammer on Saturday morning in Pacific Beach, according to San Diego Police.
The victim had bought some food at the In and Out Burger near 2900 Damon Street and pulled over on the side of the road to eat it when the suspect approached his vehicle just before 1:30 .am., said Officer David Stanford with SDPD.
The suspect, described as being in his late 30s to early 40s, reportedly displayed a hammer as it were a handgun and demanded the victim get out of his car.
The victim exited the car before suspect got inside and took off. The man drove a short distance before stopping in the street and picking up another man carrying a guitar, said Standford.
Both men then fled the scene inside the vehicle. The victim was driving a silver 2004, two-door Hyundai and the incident is under investigation, said Stanford.
I hate stories like this that leave out important information. Did the victim get to finish his burger? What kind of burger was it? I love In-n- Out.
Time to ban the In and Out Burger chain. Why didn’t he just drive away?
Probably listening to his tunes.
A gun! Bring a gun to the hammer fight, next time.
And they were singing . . .
If I had a hammer
I'd hold it like a handgun
I'd hold it at a San Diegan
And make a demand
I'd ask him for his Hyundai
On a Saturday or Sunday
I'd take it, and though I'm seen
There isn't a description
If I had a tan . . .
I guess he was sitting in his car hammered with the munchies and didn’t want to get nailed...
Instead he was screwed....
“No, I said I wanted the cheeseburger with COLBY Jack!”
In and Out and gone in 60 seconds
Note to self: never buy a 2004 Hyundai...apparently a rabbit start is impossible. P.S. - never put the car in park at 1:30am while eating a burger behind the while.
Did he have fries, a shake. If a shake, what color was the shake?
