I hate stories like this that leave out important information. Did the victim get to finish his burger? What kind of burger was it? I love In-n- Out.

The man drove a short distance before stopping in the street and picking up another man carrying a guitar. . . . And they were singing . . .
If I had a hammer
I'd hold it like a handgun
I'd hold it at a San Diegan
And make a demand
I'd ask him for his Hyundai
On a Saturday or Sunday
I'd take it, and though I'm seen
There isn't a description
If I had a tan . . .

I guess he was sitting in his car hammered with the munchies and didn’t want to get nailed...
Instead he was screwed....

Note to self: never buy a 2004 Hyundai...apparently a rabbit start is impossible. P.S. - never put the car in park at 1:30am while eating a burger behind the while.
