One of the few celebrity guests who refused to walk down the red carpet was singer - and legendary diva - Barbara Streisand.
Astonished royal aides were told that ‘Ms Streisand’, who was sitting at the couple’s dinner table, refused to be photographed by ‘ordinary’ snappers and would only sanction personally-approved pictures taken by her own photographer, who was present at the event.
When they took their seats at the main table they appeared engrossed in their own company, despite the fact Streisand and Kidman were sat opposite... Camera-shy Miss Streisand also made the first move - but had to get past a large lamp to shake hands with the star couple.

I am happy to see this couple handle themselves well after having to watch Obama and The Wookie.

It seems to me a thong would be an uncomfortable choice for public appearances.
BTW, I adored that yellow dress but is that the way ladies dress now? No panties? WTF?
I mean wouldn't a normal reaction be holding your dress down with your hands so it wouldn't blow like that? I think I would have. She's so amazingly beautiful but it seems like her every move is aimed to please the camera.
Just when I was glad to see women acting and dressing like ladies again, thought she might set a good example. Those skinny jeans she wore the other day are sold out, $189. I mean they're cool and she has nice legs but what's wrong with normal jeans? If those didn't stretch, they'd be terribly uncomfortable.
If this is real, and I suspect it is because I saw video of her in that dress, it was very windy, I'm shocked.
Well once this is seen back at BuckHouse, I think this may have been in Canada judging from the uniform on the one guy, the Queen will have a littl tete a tete with the new Duchess and suggest she use little weights in the hem of her dresses to prevent this in future.....
I’m surprised that with all the dresses Kate wears that she doesn’t have at least a half slip on. Thongs are a bad choice for a skirt. At least for pants, they don’t show a panty line.
Or maybe even suggest granny panties.
Was she wearing a thong or going commando? I just don’t understand the going commando thing, for men or women.
Yeah, the Queen won't be happy with that one. But if my daughter turned up in a photo like that, I wouldn't like it either.
Is it just me or is the styling of that yellow dress reminiscent of the 20''s-40's, the cut and all? I thought it was just adorable, and yellow was always my favorite color. Weights are a good idea, think the designer wanted it to be "swishy", but it would have taken pretty firm weights the way the wind was that day.
Guess they liked her red dresses the best. She had 47 dresses for the trip I read. It made me think when I had a dress I especially liked, I wore it over and over until it went out of style. Do royals ever wear the same clothes twice? I know they do their jewels.

LOL. First the queen is holding her hat so it won't blow off. I guess Michelle can't help what the wind did to her hair, and at least she had sense enough to hold her dress down. I think she likes bright colors; that jacket dress color combo didn't work for me but I'd have to say we dodged a bullet in that our First Lady is doing her best.
OK, it's not at all a flattering photo of Michelle;conditions weren't good, but it doesn't have a sleazy look to it imo. But you would expect that when cameras are constantly clicking away many shots would be unflattering. So it made me wonder if photogs for Kate and Will are handpicked and they try to get only the most flattering ones. You know their have to be some duds.
So I'm wondering if this back asswards photo was snapped by someone with a cell phone ha ha. At the British Consulate in LA, they went round the neighborhood getting people to agree not to let photogs use their property. So what is the big deal? Paparazzi and telephoto lenses. But sometimes you get an amazing shot you wouldn't see otherwise that isn't really out of bounds.

Hmmm. I did a little editing and tweaking, and just before I post it occurs to me I didn't wonder what was under her dress. And when I've been admiring all those photos of that yellow dress so, I didn't wonder what was under that either until that photo got posted.
