I’m so out of it, I didn’t realize all the excitement about 3D TV when it was first introduced.
Then again, I also look at today’s computer graphic special effects in movies, and think they look so fake as to be unreal. I’m probably in a minority on that, but the computer graphics special effects just don’t impress me.

Im probably in a minority on that, but the computer graphics special effects just dont impress me. I'm with you there. Even the big budget stuff looks fake. The other thing I don't like is they are making movies very dark to hide the artificiality of the effects.

I also look at today's computer graphic special effects in movies, and think they look so fake as to be unreal. I so agree. I'll take it a step further and say it's a deal killer. I completely lose interest in a film once the gaudy computer generated special effects appear. I still think the best special effects I've seen in a SF movie were in Forbidden Planet (1956).

YES.
Compare the effects of the original three Star Wars films with that of the new trilogy.
The old animatronics/puppets and models are far more realistic than the CG stuff.
